Great book that outlines a useful process for starting an entrepreneurial venture based on some kind of innovative technology, business model etc. The author seemed like he was very conceited of himself and MIT, which was something I didn’t like about the book.

I had never heard of the book before, and saw it was not well read on Goodreads or Amazon. My goto reading suggestion for anyone wanting to get into entrepreneurship. Whether you’re a first-time or repeat entrepreneur, Disciplined Entrepreneurship gives you the tools you need to improve your odds of making a product people want.

Bill Aulet is a long time practicing entrepreneur and an instructor at MIT, one of discillined most rigorous institutions in the world. The center is responsible for entrepreneurship across all five schools at MIT starting with education but also extending well outside the class room with student clubs, conferences, competitions, networking events, awards, hackathons, student trips and most recently accelerators.

This book provides an invaluable comprehensive framework for innovation-driven entrepreneurs to execute the business planning process. Im proud to have zulet chapter based on the work I did during one of his great classes. I highly recommend it.

The book conveys the idea that something can always be done at every single scenario that can move the Most great entrepreneurship books succeed in giving great insight and perhaps some practical advice see Eric Ries’s The Lean Startup, Ben Horowitz’s The Hard Thing About Hard Things, etc.
It seemed informative, but I was still a little disappointed that some aspects of creating and developing the product and finding manufacturers was not mentioned. Be the first to ask a question about Disciplined Entrepreneurship.
It is a must have for entrepreneurs to read the first time but also as a reference. Other similar books, such as “The Lean Startup”, are great too, but this book gives you a more comprehensive guide, covering pretty much all aspects of starting up a new venture.

There entrepreneurshkp so many applications to this, but with my personality, ualet been helpful to have a guidebook to be able to “check off” tasks toward the slow and difficult process of building a sustainable business. The book conveys the idea that something can always be done at every single scenario that can move the company forward, and then helpfully provides the next step in the roadmap.
